"Grand Opening" seems to be a more common term in my experience than "Grandiose Opening" in everyday's use.
If you go to Google (www.google.com) and search, "Grand Opening" has 9.3 million hits, while "Grandiose Opening" only has 2,640 hits. (remember to include "" in your search).
You should try it yourself to verify what I just said.

haha,finished learning today's Alex's board.but i still have some questions.

回复：I usually associate the word "expect" (预期) to mean someone else is doing the job for u; why wouldn't the parents look after the kid themselves? 1 possibility is the parents are dead & someone is looking after the kid; maybe I'm a bit picky Alex

2.I learned “through” has another meaning that means sb. broke up with the other. and in oral speaking, could i just say "we are done" to express this?

in a way, "finished" and "done" are quite similar in meaning but they are usually not interchangeable words and I use them differently Alex
