No.1. Amelie Maybe some people are not very familiar with this movie. Because neither is it a Hollywood blockbuster, nor the cost is low. But the stoy is wonderful. It's all about a girl called Amelie who is kind-hearted and loves to help others. It's a sprightly comedy and it has a happy end. I especially like its way to express the little girl's loneliness, such as sucking strawberries plunged on her finger ~~ So if I have the chance, I choose her firstly.
No.2. Leon Compared with the former one, I think people will be more familiar with this tragic story. It's about a professional killer ( it is called "cleaner" in the movie) and a little girl's love story who is just twelve years old. Jean Reno's cool appearance and the little girl's mature performance make the movie be a perfect classic work. The background music in the movie is also special and fitful to the atmosphere. So this little girl is my second choice.
No.3. The Devil Wears Prada This is a movie related to fashion. The leading actresses, Meryl Streep who received Oscar twice and Anne Hathaway (a very beautiful woman~~~), are the boss of a famous magazine and the vice assistance. Miranda (acted by Meryl) is an uncredibly strict woman. But Andrea's (acted by Anne) excellent work helps her winning Miranda's appreciation. Meanwhile Andrea finds her also lost so many things in her life,such as lover ,friendship and a kind heart. At last, she realised what she really wants. She made a right decision: to quit the job. She will be my third choice as her taste on fashion and her character.
No.4. Closer This is a successful movie showing people's heart deeply. The whole movie is just around four people and their love story. The two girls in it present two styles of girls. Natalie Portman (the little girl in Leon) acted a young and adorable girl as while as Julia Roberts acted a comparatively mature woman. This movie is also an exploration of true love. The two girls are all very charming...
No.5. The Shawshank Redemption I believe many of us have been very familiar with this one. Andy (acted by Tim Robbins) showed us what a real man should be. It seems nearly all the outstanding characters were assumbled on him. Because of his wisdom and ability, he conquered so many difficulties and got freedom finally. And through his struggle, we can also see his tough persistence.
No.6. Edward Scissorhands I'm afraid this movie's leading role is even not a man. He is not handsome, but he has a beautiful heart; He seems silly sometimes, but his heart is so pure. He knows art. He has his own way to show us the beauty. The small town is just a small sociaty, And it dooms that people who are as pure as Edward cannot exist. He is also like a mirror which shows us everything we act in our dailylife, either good or evil.
No.7. Catch Me if You Can This movie is made according to a real person named Frank and acted by Leonardo Dicaprio (the one who acted Jack in Titanic). Tom Hanks was a policeman in it. It's an interenting and miraculous story. As a boy who was just seventeen years old, Frank made so many forged checks and he can be whatever he would like to be. So once he was a docter, a professor, a lawyer and a pilot. And he traveled the world all for free. He is a criminal as well as a genius. At last he even got the "promotion" from the prison to the police office ~~
No.8. Mr. and Mrs. Smith This is a really cool movie. Mr. and Mrs. Smith are all secret agents, but they don't know eachother's real identity. The organisations they served for finally ordered them to kill eachother. I'm sure their resistance to each other will attrack you~~ It is said after this movie Brad Pitt who acted Mr. Smith and Angelia Jolie who is Mrs.Smith in the movie divorced from their ex-partners and they two got married...
No.9. A Beautiful Mind This is also a movie made according to a real person who is a famous mathematician named John Nash. Acted by Rusell Crowe, John has some kind of mental disease. He always imagines some people and he even don't know who are real people and who are imagined by him. However, this problem didn't cover the genius and finally he got Nobel Price in 1994 and taught in Massachusetts Institute of Techology (MIT).
No.10. The Pursuit of Happyness This is a movie to show the life of African-Americans, about a black man who got divorced and his only son. It's really a moving story which shows us how tough the life is, especially for the blacks in America.
No.11. The Sixth Sense This is also a movie to show people's heart, but a little boy's heart who can see the dead people. No one believes him including his mother. He is totally scared by the ghosts and he is under the big pressure of others calling him "freak". Finally, a psychology docter helped him but at the same time he realised he was also a dead person...
No.12. Pirates of the Caribbean This movie is a development of the fairy-tale about pirate. The intriguing story, the acters consummate performance and the using of advanced computer skills create this fairy-tale today.
No.13. The pianist Similar with Schindler's List, this is a movie to reflet the Second World War, too. It focuses on a famous Poland musician Wiladyslaw Szpilman who is also a Jew. Persecuted by the Nazi, he went through so many difficulty situations but finally he was alive. However there was a pity left, a German millitary officer who had ever rescued him.

另外补充一下我最喜欢的是leon,大约8年前我看的时候,我还不知道里面讲的是爱情,1年前我看的时候才有了新的视觉.肖申克的救赎次之,也是看了2次.也满喜欢天使爱米丽的另类.
