It has recently been determined that due to excessive demand placed on us by additional work being delegated to us by the ever increasingly busy information technology department, a new member of personnel is necessary to handle the extra information technology workload. Personally I feel that the workload should be dealt with by the information Technology department themselves and isn't really something that we should have to be responsible for.
I sincerely hope you can make sufficient time in your schedule this week to organize offical approval for this additional staff member and notify us of the go-ahead so we can continue with finalizing the relevant details and begin the advertising and interview process for the abovementioned new staff member.
