“阑珊”之译

“阑珊”之译
    “阑珊”的意思是“将尽、衰落、稀落”，以英文表达是：wane,decline,fade away,languish,be
dim...
    辛弃疾《青玉案》里的名句“众里寻他千百度。蓦然回首，那人却在，灯火阑珊处”，千古传诵。
怎么译？杨宪益先生所译是：
      A thousand times I search for her in the crowd
      And, suddenly turning my head,
      Discover her where the lantern lights are dim.
    而李后主的“帘外雨潺潺，春意阑珊”（《浪淘沙》）凄婉哀伤，译文不少，其中之一是：
       Outside the curtains the rain goes splash,splash;
       Spring's mood languishes.
