上述报道中，lighting of the cauldron是“点火仪式”的英文表达，cauldron在这里指的是“圣火盆”，Olympic cauldron就是“奥运圣火盆”；而用来点燃圣火盆的“奥运圣火”就是大家再熟悉不过的Olympic flame了。
为有效维护奥运版权及相关权利，严厉打击针对第29届奥林匹克运动会赛事及相关活动的新媒体转播权非法转播行为，打击奥运侵权反盗版工作组日前在京成立。

上述报道中，unauthorized transmission是“非法转播”，也叫做illegal transmission，那么authorized transmission就是“授权转播”了；这里所说的“权”指的是“奥运版权”，即Olympic International Property Rights，简称Olympic IPR.
